1. Information We Collect
Smart Money Tracker ("we", "us", or "our") collects information necessary to deliver personal finance tracking, budget calculations, and cross-device synchronization:
- Account Information: When you register for cloud synchronization, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password hash (Argon2 / Bcrypt).
- Financial Ledger Data: Transaction titles, amounts, categories, dates, payment methods, receipt images, account names, and savings goals you input.
- Device & Telemetry Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, and anonymous crash diagnostic logs to maintain app stability.
2. Google AdMob & Third-Party Advertising
Our Free Tier is supported by non-intrusive mobile advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs (IDFA/GAID), IP addresses, and diagnostic information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized ads at any time through your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads) or upgrade to our Pro Ad-Free Plan for a 100% ad-free experience across all devices.

We implement defense-in-depth security measures to protect your personal finance records:
- Local Device Security: On Android, data is isolated in your device's protected internal app storage sandbox, guarded by optional biometric fingerprint and facial authentication.
- In-Transit Encryption: All cloud communications between our Android app, web dashboard, and server utilize TLS 1.3 cryptographic protocols.
- No Plaintext Passwords: We never store or transmit your login credentials in cleartext.

5. Shared Wallets & Collaboration Privacy
When you invite a spouse, partner, or family member to a Shared Wallet using an invite code (SMT-XXXXXX), members granted access can view transactions associated with that specific shared wallet. Your private personal wallets remain strictly hidden from other members.
